Selected Works
School - Exchange Program
Fruition
Fruition is a web application built during a 2-week exchange program at City Collage Plymouth, UK. Together with 6 other Dutch students and a team of local UK students, we developed a platform that displays publicly accessible fruit trees and plants on an interactive map. The application also includes a authorization system, allowing users to contribute by adding new trees and plants to the map. This project was a great opportunity to collaborate with an international team and apply our skills in a real-world context.

During this project I worked together with a team of Dutch and UK students to create a web application that allows users to play Sudoku online. The application features multiple difficulty levels, a timer, chat, leaderboard, and a hint system to assist players.

During my study at mboRijnland, I developed a web application called GameStars. GameStars is an online platform where users can discover video games and read reviews about them. The application also features a authorization system for registering and log in.
Personal
FiveM Mods
Before my studies, I developed several mods for FiveM, a multiplayer modification framework for Grand Theft Auto V. These mods include a variety of gameplay features, such as custom jobs, functionalities and developer tools. Some of these mods I have released to the public on GitHub, and the FiveM forum. This is where I first started learning programming and sparked my interest in software development.

About me

Martijn de Roode, a 20-year-old software developer from the Netherlands. I am currently studying Software Engineering at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and working part-time as a back-end developer. But I am also still a person with a life outside of programming, and I have a lot of different hobbies and interests.
One of my hobbies is skiing, which I have been doing since I was a child. I love the feeling of gliding down the slopes and being surrounded by the beautiful mountain scenery. Also I enjoy driving my car and going on road trips, especially with my girlfriend Chloƫ. Last year, during the summer holiday, we went to Portugal by car, which was a great adventure and we had a lot of fun exploring the country.
